what do you mean "it neve cycled properly"? do you mean that it did not feed in and expell ammo as expected? did you talk to tony about this issue? if so, how did he respond?
I bought mine from him in .308 . I also bought 400 rounds of 147 grn .308 of Sellier & Bellot. S&B is fine ammo. I never had a problem with it with other firearms. WHen you build an M1 in .308 you're changing the originality of the rifle to a differant caliber. When I would fire my rifle, the S&B would not cycle into the chamber. It would fire, the bolt would come back, but it would not chamber the next round. I bought another oprod spring and it did not fix it.I really didnt want to contend with it at the time, so I sold it and got another M1. That one fires flawlessly. Also -- when I got my M1 from him, I had to pay $40 to a local gunsmith to recrown the "New" Wilson barrel. Mine had a nick on the lands. Do I think Tony rips people off, no. As I stated, are there other options? Yes. GO to Gunbroker, AuctionArms, go to the CSP forum and look at their classified ads. I have bought decent M1 shooters for $500-$600.
All it takes is a little looking on your part.
