Having grown up in Gillette Stadium and at different times having lived in "Rotaries and Traffic Jams," "Witches, Fishermen and Quaint-A$$ Towns," and "Tax-Free Shopping," I thought the Fellers might get a kick out of this map. Pay special attention to the offshore arrow in the lower left corner.

And those of us who live North of Mass refer to them folks who liv in Mass as flatlanders and foriegners.

I'm in the "Vacation and Lobstahs" category.

I grew up at the border between "Beaches with killer flies" (Those greenheads pull a plug out of you and leave you bleeding) and "Witches, Fishermen, and quaint *** towns"

I spent several days in Framingham many years ago while visiting the Bose factory. All I remember is cold, cold, cold and eating lots of seafood, especially Lobster at Legal Seafood in Worchester

Saw a bit of Bahston in the early 1980s when my Navy ship spent a few days there, which I've related before. We enjoyed it, but didn't see the bad areas, only the tourist spots. They weren't as far down the toilet then.

Lynn and Southy. Got lost in the area looking for Fenway park and wound up in one of these areas. Stopped a cop for directions, and he seeing us as being New Yakers, used his finest Errr ahhh, to give those directions. After we got on our way, I looked at my buddies and asked them "What the F@%K did he just say?"

My wife and I had been at the northern tip of Cape Cod some 20 years ago, and we revisited the area last year. As we walked around town, hand-in-hand, we received many disapproving stares from all of the people disgusted with our heterosexual lifestyle and lack of piercings or tattoos.

Many years ago, long before the Big Dig, a friend of mine came to Boston for an SCA event, and being a bit of an historian decided he wanted to see the Old North Church, where the lanterns that sent Paul Revere on his way were hung back in 1775. He managed to find the church okay, but when he tried to find his way back to the Southeast Expressway, he got lost for two hours trying to find his way to it. At no time was he farther away from the highway than half a mile, but he could not manage to find his way up onto it heading south. He finally found an on-ramp heading north and took it, figuring he could just go up an exit or two and turn around to head south.

He was most of the way to New Hampshire before he finally managed to get turned around to head for home.

    Boston roads are like that.
