September 29 is National Coffee Day.
Every and all day, is coffee day for me!
Being a diabetic, I never drink pop. I do enjoy a few cups of coffee every day...
It's 0415 I'm on my second cup.
Every day is COFFEE DAY!!
Well it needs to be this morning. Up early for me anymore and long drive ahead to the range.
I worked my entire career around rabid coffee drinkers, but I never took up the habit. Love the smell but not the drink.
I grind my beans every morning, use 2 different waters and measure the grounds exactly. I'm down to 2 cups now but use to drink more. Only have it in the morning. And a curse on those that add anything to it !!
I already drank a pot. Was running a few errands and stopped by store this morning. I now have another big cup of coffee right now.
Back in the day I drank enough white label run of the mil coffee to float a battle ship around.
Don’t mean to sound like a coffee snob, but wife keeps me supplied with good bean. BRC, Bones, Fire Department Coffee and a couple others.
Grind it fresh and drink it black. Happy coffee day every day!

Man oh man, I've been known to tip a cup or two from time to time...
Used to be able to buy that white label coffee, that is standard military issue, in the commissary. Haven’t had it in a long time. I really liked it.
Coffee bar staple. $2 per month.

We did OUR PART!!
I am a coffee addict. That means I can consume a Kurig K-Cup to make me sleep soundly.
I take a cup to bed with me many nights. It's not uncommon for me to wake up, take a sip of cold coffee from the cup on my night stand, roll over and go right back to sleep.
Down to 2 cups in the morning, (Doctors orders), but those are good, big, strong and fragrant...experimenting with cold brew; very impressed so far.
How do 'ordinary' people wake up?
When I was on the ship our department head bought the shop a Keurig, which I don't think was authorized for shipboard use but he was an O6 and they let him mostly do what he wanted. We wore that machine out in 7 months.
When I worked in an office, I didn't eat breakfast & didn't have my first cup of coffee until I got to work! But, then, kept coffee on my desk all day. Sometimes, if I got extra busy, it'd get cold, but drank it anyway. Didn't believe in pouring coffee out. I'd also drink an 8 cup pot of coffee, at home, between dinner & bedtime.
In outside sales, kept a cup of coffee in the cup holder all the time, plus knew where the break room was at all my customers. If I happened to get there when they were out, I made a pot for them! I had one customer in Longview that I called on at 5 am. My first stop was their break room to put on a pot of coffee, then go out into the plant to find him.
I need coffee immediately in morning. Life don't even start until I hear the coffee maker percolating. I cant handle food in the morning. My stomach cant take food for t least a few hours. I sometimes drink coffee half a day. I keep a few cans of grounds in my inventory. I get nervous if I get low. I like to know that I at lest have a couple months supply on hand.
