I sold a PA-63 to a friend about 10-12 years ago. I brought it back the other day. He said he we cleaning it & a part fell out he didn't know where it went (could I fix it). It looked simple enough the part is the lever that the clip pushes up to hold the slide open when empty. I put it back & put the slide on & no hammer release when I pull the trigger.
If the hammer is down ... the double action doesn't work.
The hammer falls only ( with the slide off) if I manually pull the hammer back, pull the trigger & press the safe (lever) I don't know what to call it. It is in the frame right next to the pin that raises the firing pin.
I haven't looked inside the grips .. that is next.
Got any ideas on this? Besides take it to a good gunsmith. I'm in the rural Midwest & it's a long way to anywhere.

Thanks for the online parts list & exp. view.

the problem is the trigger spring that also holds the trigger bar (link) up inside the frame & keeps the link engaged with the hammer release.
it may be broken or bent.
I put it back in place & it is staying but it looks like it could move again.

Thanks again for the information
