    Hello,

I got these 2 interesting rifles as a payment for the services.
I shot a few .22LR and .22 Short rounds thru them in my backyard and they shoot fine.
Anybody knows what the values would be?
Looks like the were .410 at some point.

I saw one or two on GB , but prices are very high and no bidding on them.

    Thanks.

Hmmm, interesting pieces for sure. Maybe someone will chime in who can provide some info and history about them.

I take it that they both are single shot being that the large 303 10 round mag cant be used to feed the 22 rounds. I have seen trainer rifles in 22 and Numrich Arms [ GunParts Corp. ] used to sell conversion kits to retrofit the 303 British Enfield,s to 22 cal. There were many converted to 410 round ball cartridge's and not the 410 slug or scatter shot that you find at the sporting goods store. It was a single slug round ball and just made specifically for those rifles. However I have never seen them myself converted to 22 from the 410 version. Here is pics of the ammo they shot. 6984696b31959a9b7d7a544dc71ae32d_1.jpg 6984696b31959a9b7d7a544dc71ae32d_4.jpg

Those .410s were also a shorter cartridge than our standard shotshell. Chambers were sometimrs reamed longer to load our .410 shell.

You can see heavy .22 insert into large .410 barrel.
Looks like one rifle was reincarnated in 3 calibers. IMG_0838.JPG

Looks like a barrel liner was used in the 410 bore to 22 cal.

so it started as .308..was rechambered for .410, and then sleeved down to .22lr?

    too cool!!

I wonder if you can get one back to .410? thatd be cool!

I think it was started as .303.

I'd love one of those in .22LR.
