We all know this type of charger that was standard in the Swiss army till the sixties. The colour indicates what they are for, brown is ball, green or white are blanks, red is dummy and purple is armour piercing (till 1947).

During the 1908 trials there was also another type of stripper clip tested, it was made in Germany and able to take 6 cartridges, all Swiss straight-pulls made past 1908 are capable of taking both types of chargers.

The stripper clips are very rare now and the cardboard chargers are getting harder to find.
