    Hello again,
I bought a Weatherby Ultralight rifle in 30-06 when they first came out. In case you are not familar with this model, it weights is 5 3/4lbs with a 24" fluted, stainless steel barrel. It sports a Leupold 3x9 compact scope, bringing the total weight to about 6lb.10 oz. It sure is a dream to carry when hunting. with my reloads I get a 3 shot group at 100 yds of 1 to 1 1/4". Thats plenty of accuracy for this old guy. I have yet to see a deer wait for a 3 shot group. I know there are other light weight rifles out there, but if anyone is looking for one, take a look at this one.
One problem is trying to keep my hunting buddies from this rifle, they can't believe the weight & balance.
Just thought I would open this Forum with some information.
would like to hear from other Weatherby Ultralight owners.

    :) :) :)
