How many hunters when finding a fresh scrape will urinate in it? My Dad did this to every scrape he came to and Deer continued to use them. I didn't do a study as to whether it attracted or repelled them but I did observe deer visiting those scrapes while hunting.

I've heard of that being done with success. I don't know if the buck knows its human or not deer, but they still check it out. giving you a shot if you were hunting over that scrape.

When I am in rut I never did that. I have peed behind my garage though. Just kidding. I have found scrapes during this time of Black powder hunting and fresh wet spray in them. Very strong smell. I set up a trail cam at a few and amazed how many does visit them.

I have done it to stretch out my doe scent. I urinate in the scrape stir it in then drip a little doe pee over the top.

I usually shoot a doe first of the season, cut the tarsal glands off, urinate on them to reactivate them and use them as drags. You should see the bucks coming in with their nose to the ground. I also urinate in scrapes and make mock scrapes/rubs. Messes with their minds.😀

My son created a mock scrap last week and urinated in it set a trail camera and 3 does visited it before the first buck showed up. Very interesting.

Yeah, I peed on the corner post of the bed once....it didn't go well.

Just like human kids, immature deer are not too bright yet. The only way to learn is to sniff 'em all and hope they survive to know better next year. You could drip skunk scent in it and get the same results.

You may or may not get "some deer" still walk over and "check out this goofy smell" but you've ruined it for any decent bucks.

Yeah, I peed on the corner post of the bed once....it didn't go well.

That’s because it was a corner post not a scent post.

Never heard that before. First time I ever thought of my urine as a tool (except for that overpass in high school years).

Anytime I shot a deer whether a doe or buck I always get the bladder to extract the urine, a small bottle or sealable bag will work. Deer track each other via scent and can be fooled into coming to the smell of deer urine sprinkled on the ground, smeared on tree trunks or low hanging branches.

a friend of mine said that he peed on a bush from a tree stand . some time later some does came by and one of them ate some leaves off the bush.????

He must be like "Sweet Pee". I pissed in a couple scrapes Yesterday that are still getting hit. That's the 3rd time I've "freshened" them.
