Went to the range yesterday and about 13 shots in my double barrel side by side just blew up. Not hurting me or anyone else around thank God!. Very up set tho I've had it over a year and it stays clean and well maintained just don't understand why it blew up on me

Do you have pictures of the damage? Can you post the brand name?

Pictures and info on the shells used would help. Name and model of the shotgun always help...

Glad you're alright, that's scary. Would be interesting to see a picture of it to see how it failed exactly... What shells were you firing through it?

When I looked at the title I thought I could only have a bad day at the range if I was arrested, served papers, hit by a meteor, or my gun blew up.

Sorry to hear it and glad you are OK.

Was the bore unobstructed ? Muzzle clear ? Correct length shells ? No 20/12 issue ?

No matter how inexpensive any recent commercially made shotgun should not blow up. They are proofed to high pressures and shotgun pressures are usually low.
