Can anyone give me the pros and cons regardding replacing the stock recoil spring in my new Glock 35 with a lighter one? I think the one that comes with the gun is rated at 17 # and seems excessively stiff. I can slingshot rack it but using the over-the-top method gets the muzzle pointed WAY TOO CLOSE to my left elbow. After market springs are available with 11, 13, and 15 pound ratings. My concern is that some engineer at Glock thought 17 # was a good rating and I'm a little reluctant to change that with out due consideration. In addition there's a bumper (or pad) available for the end of the recoil spring assembly. Any thoughts on that? Thanks in advance --- Jim
