US Army 66-67 11B in Nam, 71-72 74D in Nam, 7 years germany, 2.5 on Okinawa. Got out, became an Army civilian. Worked on tanks, howitzers, mortars, and helo, all armament.
ex-navy spook 76-81, recruited for seal team sniper - turned it down to stay married. Workin on the 29th year Aug. 3 . But sure miss the action and respect the stuffin out of those who stuck it out. B.Z. to ya!!!!!
Entered US Army in 1954 retired in 1980, USASA Japan, Lots of time at Ft Rucker and two tours in VN as Helicopter pilot. A few nice tours, Hughes Plant Activity early seventys ,VIP Flt Det, VIP Flt det, Camp Zama Japan until retirement.
E4 in the USAF 1961-65 as a missile tech on Bomarc II's. Stationed in Cape Cod....God what awful duty, but somebody had to protect the First Family In Hyannis, and especially Teddy Kennedy from all those pretty young interns, and narrow, wooden bridges!
Seriously.....I'm proud of my brothers who gave their all in Nam, Desert Storm and today in the mountains of that God forsaken waste land Afghanistan.
SFC currently active since 9/11 MDARNG. Service time 1981- present. The Desert with XVIII ABN Corps, Somalia with 3rd Army. Also more "training" in desert than I care to remember in past 10 years, oh for the good old days in Holland!
