I love watching these Youtube videos of weenies huffing and puffing shooting the venerable queen of the medium bores - the .375 H&H. I have this rifle and it's a beauty to shoot. Recoil is really not that bad despite how these weenies act. The rifle with a scope and sling is over 10lbs. I also have a Ruger No-1H Tropical in .416 Ruger magnum. Now that one pushes you back just a bit. :D

I loved shooting this...can't understand why the barrel is so elusive.
I've been looking for a long time, too.

Your level of arthritis will have quite an impact on that.....

One's level of recoil tolerance seems to be determined by what one usually shoots. My first center-fire pistol, a Ruger 9mm, seemed like it had a lot of kick to me at first, but I quickly got used to it. Same with going from a .22 rifle to a .357 Marlin. At first, it seemed like it kicked, but after a short time it was nothing. Now, 3" slugs in a coach shotgun was a bit much.
