I have not done any reloading all this year, until yesterday.

I managed to scrape together the components to make 37 cartridges in .357 Magnum, on my RCBS Rock Chuck press. Everything else is packed for the move.

I just needed to do some reloading, to get away from all the "moving" stuff. While I was in my reloading room, a flight of four F-18s flew right over my property, at 1,000 feet. It was LOUD. They came over at that altitude, five more times. They were practicing instrument approaches to the local airport, and circling around each time. They were from Whidby NAS, and headed off that direction when they were done. I got my own "Air Show" in the middle of my reloading session. It was excellent!

Being only 115 miles from Tyndall AFB, Fl., we occasionally have a pair of F-22 Raptors fly over. A C-130 and a Navy patrol plane sometimes practice touch&goes here in Tally.

Hiya Guys :) . The first loads to come off my new reloading bench were 150 rounds of 44 Mag shells loaded with CCI magnum primers, 23 grains of H110 & 250 grn hardcast swc bullets :) .

I just cleaned resized and primed 50 shells for a run of 150 44 specials . For powder I have H110, Bullseye, Unique & Power Pistol powder . I was thinking about loading these specials up with unique but after doing some research and finding a good deal on a couple pounds of it I'll be picking up some Green Dot that I may use for these specials instead with a recipe from my 1987 Speer reloading manual. From what I've read thus far it seems to be quite popular with 9mm, 38/357, 40 s&w & 45/ 45lc loaders as well as for small rifle cartridges like the 30-30 & 7.62x39. What do y'all think ? ...

Ha ha, , a shotgun powder it maybe but like most other shotgun powders it also doubles as handgun and small rifle caliber powder as well . I just got done loading up 50 rounds of 44 special with CCI Magnum primers, 5.5 - 5.7 grains of Green Dot and 240 grain cast swc bullets. With my first box of 44 specials being done I just pulled another 50 rounds out of my Tumbler for tomorrow :) ...

Midsouth Shooters sent me an email special for no hazmat for Shooter's World powder 4 lbs. or more. So their SW4350 Extruded I am guessing will work for any 4530 powder using cartridges. I bought me four lbs. of it.

I ran them all thru my vibrating cleaner yesterday evening and I've been in the reloading room pretty much all day long but I got 240 rds of 22-250 decapped, resized & primed w/ CCI primers on my single stage press. I'll be ordering some 50 grn "pulled" .224 bullets to load over 31-35 grains of IMR3031 :) .

Pretty stout loads for the .44 mag. I've loaded up to 22 gr. with the 250 gr. Keith bullet. A great hunting load, but rough on the hands. My plinking load is 7 gr. Unique with 240 gr. LSWC and spits it out between 850 and 900 fps depending on which .44 mag I use. I also have 300 gr. loads made up with 2400 for bear and other large critters. Love my .44 SBH's

day before yesterday I loaded up all the new 10mm brass. half with the HST s and the rest were a mix of 180 gr cast and 200 gr. plated bullets. and put a bunch of 10mm & .40 brass that I shot that day in a tumbler.
today I shot some more .40 and put that brass in a tumbler. in the next few days when I find time, I'll re-fill them all. its a vicious cycle!:D

I got so much to do, but am all but bedridden. I have a great big pile of .308 to size. I have a big old pile of processed .45 ACP to sort and bag. I have a big old plastic jug of .223/5.56 to clean and process. And tomorrow I see the neurosurgeon.

Thanks for the heads up but I was just following the starting loads in my 11th Edition Speer reloading manual (1987)

I'm going to up the charges on both loads. They were the perfect mouse fart loads, but they're both a little dirty. The SWCs were super light loads. They were more than pleasant to shoot in the J frame. The WCs had a little sting to them.
