I saw 4 of them at the range today. I wouldn't mind having one, but it has no purpose for me. A few of the guys who "Squirrel Hunt" have related that out to 70/90 yards they are a devastating bullet to the squirrels, according to the reports that come back. As to accuracy, at 4,200 fps, they usually group at 3/8 of an inch or less.

There is an article about them in American Rifleman and reloading them.
I'm with Gyrene, they have no purpose for me. They CLAIM barrel life is up to a few thousand rounds. Thats about a years worth of shooting for me and the barrel is shot out. Not worth it.
What would you really use it for except targets? I wouldnt try to take a deer with it. Maybe a javelina or smaller. Although the 4200 fps does make up for the small bullet I would take the 17 HMR for the small stuff and a much bigger caliber for the large stuff.
Its a round that really isnt needed.
