What Have I Got

    Need a little history, age, value...

    it’s a 686-2, but that’s as far as my Smith knowledge goes.

    My bookl says 686 Distinguished Combat in 357 came with adj. sights. In 4,6, and 8 3/8 inch barrel. Mfg. price in 1999 was $514.

  4. The Model 686-2 was an update of the 686 they changed the hammer nose and bushings..this took place in 1987.

    Any idea on how old it would be? Can't find where S&W has this posted anywhere.

  7. Your revolver was made in January of 1988....price is too subjective with all that is going on...
