Ammo, bought a case of 9mm, a few boxes of 40 S&W 180gr, and a few boxes of 45ACP 230gr. Both my daughter and son have been bugging me to tell them what I want for my birthday and I am finally thinking of saying a Glock 19 Gen 5 (LE version) and a laptop computer (15" screen) since my current one died a peaceful death about a year ago. I won a nice 3D printer at our company Christmas Party and would rather hook it up to a laptop rather than my desktop that I built a few years back and it's still going strong. I have very little space on my computer desk and probably wouldn't want to listen to a 3D printer making noise for hours on end. The reason the comment about the new printer is you can make shooting accessories and that counts.

I just bought an awesome collection for the store, if that counts; a Type 38 Arisaka with Meiji intact, and two Type 99s without the Meiji, a Yugo rebuild of a German 98, A Long Branch Enfield in great shape, a Schmidt-Rubin 1911, a Hungarian M95, a K.Kale Turk Mauser, an Argentine Mauser, a Swedish Mauser, a 1940 Ishevsk Mosin M91/30, and an unusual MAS 36 with really dark wood and an almost black receiver - though it doesn't appear to have ever been refinished

The kid I got it from (25) got into collecting with his dad at 18, and he's selling off his oddballs to focus on American and German variants. He took good care of his collection, and CLEANED them before selling them. He's the first person to ever do that in my store. He's basically ME at that age, except I moved into Enfields and antiques.

Always clean your guns before selling. It lets a gun store know you cared for your collection, it allows us to judge condition better, and we might pay a little more (I paid roughly $20 more a gun).

hey PHD i'll give ya 50$ for that type 38..

gotta rescind the last thing i bought now.
i got a hundred bucks off the scope i've been saving up for almost a year now today.
thought i was gonna have to get the smaller version, but decided to put the one i really wanted on layaway and the lady at the checkout said i was eligible for the discount surprising me.
had to borrow 20$ from the wife to cover it though, and i'll probably have to get a new set of rings but i got 6 months to get those if i need them.

Most recent thing was some ammo since the gun store finally had .22LR. I need more .410 shells if anybody around here ever gets them in again. Before that it was a holster.
I have several friends keeping an eye out for 410. I have four shotguns in 410. I like to carry the double barrel and it seems like manufacturers are not producing much 410. I have four boxes of 3" #6 I found recently at one of the Walmarts near me. Once in a great while they only get like two boxes at a time. I paid $22 a box and thought that was terrible.

I am an old guy that doesn't need more inventory.

I am not sure why, but I still look at the FS gun ads .It is not that I need one but would buy one at a good price.

I gave away some ammo. That’s like negative buying, right? LOL. Gave the son-in-law a federal 22lr 550 bulk pack. Pretty old ammo, it had $18.37 for a price. He has been shooting more than I have, Was down to some crappy ammo that wasn’t feeding well in his 10/22 at all, so I gave him some that I know works.

It's kind of amazing how that stuff worked pretty decently most of the time.
Sometimes I'd even get surprisingly accurate groups with the CZ 452 Varminter I used to have with that stuff.

I remember when those bulk boxes were $9.00 at Wal-Mart. Those days are long gone.
