i was at the range today and i had the opportunity ti try a cz in 7.62 (i thought it was a bizzare round at first, but the muzzle flash was something else!) and i was told they can be had extremely cheap (around $140). is this true for the 9mm's as well? if so, where would be a good place to look?

Sounds interesting. What CZ model? Which 7.62 round?

It should be the CZ-52, which is available through C&R if you have one.

Does sound like the CZ-52, and that's about what I paid for mine using C&R. You can also order through local shop and pay a small fee, usually $20 or less, to order on their license. The 9mm CZ-75 runs anywhere from $300 at shows to $450, so shop around before you buy. I often see them for $350, but got lucky and paid $300 at local show a couple of years ago. I found some Yugo ammo in 7.62x25 for the -52 and it is very clean and reliable, about $8 for 70 rounds, check Shotgun News.
  5. Paid $120 for my CZ52 hand select about two years ago......$140 is about right right now. I paid $330 for my 75B combat. They are still in that price range here in Arizona.
