I was wondering which .22 would stand the "Test of Time" in a survival situation. Back in the early fifties the spare parts bin for the old Ruger .22 automatic was a cigar box full of parts on a secratary's desk. A Ruger Single-Six would be another one to consider. Assuming you did have a cleaning kit and some oil, what .22 do you feel could go the distance? A Marlin 39A lever comes to mind, as does a Winchester model-62.
