Can any one id this rifle?
Kinda hard to tell from that pic, but if I were going to guess I would say that it is a Remington 700.
My first guess was a Weatherby, but you can't trust these tired old eye !!
It doesn't say anything on either side of the barrel?
And I'd have to completely agree with the consensus. The picture is too small and they're aren't enough of them for anyone to tell what it is...
To little information, It looks like a .30 cal bolt action rifle, but that leaves alot of possibility.
looks like a vanguard stock but its hard to tell. By looking at the pic ir looks like the tan webbed stock like whats on my vanguard. Also it looks like it has a drop plate just like my vanguard ( you have to look close). plus the trigger guard looks like the same one on my vanguard but its hard to tell in that picture.
Hard to tell, but that looks like a 700 action to me as well.
I would also guess Weatherby. Do you have a clearer picture of it FW_?
It is a .30 cal bolt action. But with the picture being so far away it is impossible to tell what manufacturer
Definitely not a matchlock!
OOOOO OOOOOOO I know it's a Blunderbuss!!!! :jester:
Looks just like my 700. The round end of the bolt gives it away.
Id say REM 700 BDL syn maybe in 300RUM or a 338 RUM
And here is my vanguard just for a comparison
Im not saying its a vanguard, i just posted it so you could see em side by side so you could have an accurate pic to compare it too.
its a bolt action centerfire.......
^ Yeah,I believe the mystery is solved!
Something built on a Rem 700 action. it looks to me like the stock has a straight comb
Certainly looks like a 700 action in a synthetic aftermarket stock of some sort. Caliber could be anything so who knows. Would certainly like to see a larger picture and see what animal it is sitting against.
Looks like one of Mel's rifles. Need a better pic.
