It is the last week of the NJ permit hunting season and the same 3 stands that I have been seeing deer out of all season have come up goose-egg. I just moved up here from NC and am wondering WTF? Is there a certain time of the year that the deer up in this area just say "naaa I dont want to be shot today". Just looking for a little input. Oh and yes I did get a nice talking to about taking my .308 to the woods in NJ. Their rifle season is actually for muzzleloader. Oh well no ticket no harm. So now I use a Scoped 20 ga slugger.

B.C.is totally different than N.J. We were done before X-mas.Have no idea at all what happened there, here in central B.C.I saw almost no deer trails without fresh wolf tracks and sign.We are in deep crap in some areas from what I saw.Don`t really relish the idea, but NBL,wide open season.Maybe the biologists are right and we need to cull.Might as well dust-off the big bores. Not a all what you asked, but a topic nonetheless.
