Hey guys, I just bought a Rossi 92 lever gun in 357/38 special. I was kinda wanting to find a rear peep sight. Any ideas?

all of the ones I found on those sights mounted on the stock and folded down when not in use. I'm not a big fan of those. I was hoping for something more low profile and closer to the action/barrel.

Try Lyman or Marbles, you'll have to do a search for them, I'm too tired to look for ya, I'm going to bed! Oh, I forgot Williams.

Are you looking for a peep sight that mounts on the receiver ?

Think you are going to have to drill and tap holes in the side of the receiver .

This is the one that was reccomended to me , but I have not done it .

I think I'm just going to get a sight for the regular 92 and drill the receiver.

That is what the link I posted is suspose to be .

I ordered a receiver peep sight for one of my Marlins . Mounted on the rear 2 screw holes that are designed for scope bases .

Will try to test it this weekend . If it does not work out , will have to put a scope on it .

I have resigned myself to stick with the iron sights on myn Rossi .

God bless

Hi, new here but I think I can answer this . .

XS Express makes an aperture sight that fits the Rossi 1892 and the Winchester 94 angle eject. It mounts with one screw on either side of the bolt letting the bolt move back and forth underneath it. There's not a lot of metal there on the 1892 so drilling and tapping must to be very precise with the action apart and in a solid jig. I am in the process of having this done to my Rossi 454 by the Steve Young aka "the 1892 specialist". Its not a cheap installation however its the only way I'll be able to take advantage of this rifle's handiness.

Hope this helps!

Hmmm, for what its worth I might just leave the open sights on it.
