Have finally settled on the 1300 defender.

Next question for the brain trust is to get the stock with the pistol grip or not?

Your thoughts...

I looked at a 1300 Defender today during a pit stop from my afternoon commute. Wow those guys leaving Florida really had things congested! I like the 1300 better than most. I currently use an 870 for that purpose, but a 1300 may find a home here as well?

The stock is personal preference. I think you are talking about a full-length stock with the built in pistol grip verses a regular stock. I like the regular stock - probably because that is what all my hunting guns have. Keeps things consistent/familiar - that can be a real good thing when you reach for it at 3 am half asleep! I would stick with the old standby. As for a pistol grip only (i.e. no stock), I would avoid it unless you are in very close quarters. I have trouble aiming/pointing/whatever those things.
