I don't know if there was a thread done earlier, but now I am looking for info.. Just picked up a 2005 9422.. not one of the tributes.. but it's supposed to be a limited production run..
It's a case-colored receiver.
The serial # has letters, then the number is under 100..
I can't find anything of Winchester's production this year other than the special tributes which are probably all gone before leaving the factory (1 in 222).. or the production of only 9422.. being put out in piece-meal..
On their website they do show a regular production run of the legacy, but I got the traditional.
I heard they were putting together whatever parts they have lying around and making special runs of ###..
Anyone hear anything about this?
I've got to call Winchester Monday to see if I can get any information on it..

I have an original Winchester 9422 from the first year of production and the fit and finish is awesome.

I began hitting bullseyes right out of the box and the action is super smooth. This is one rifle I would never sell.

Hopefully I can find a place to shoot soon here in Central Florida as I haven't had a chance to use any of my rifles for many years. I miss shooting them.
