If you have a .50 cal press, dies, and stuff already...maybe, but what I ran into is that I can buy loaded ammo CHEAPER than I can buy the bullets to load.It worked out to almost 500 bucks for a press and dies, I can buy about 300 rounds of ball ammo for that and if I was in the lower 48, i could get more than that. I priced New( not pulled military) bullets and they were 2.50-3.75 each, and then...You need LOTS of powder !!!!
I'm gonna stick with factory/military ammo, do you need some brass ???
I agree with mooseman on this based on the availability of good US mil surp. About the only person I know who ever reloaded 50 cal ammo was an 80 year old in Sacrament who would cut his bullets out of zinc on a lathe. Check with Max7.62 he sells 50 cal for his company.
