I was shooting my German made SIG P220 two tone alongside my American made SIG P220R and I really started to dislike the grips on the American made SIG. They are the screwless E2 grips, they just felt wrong to me. I ended up getting a set of Hogue (finger-grooveless)* grips and some stainless grips screws. I think it looks better and it definitely feels better.

Either the E-2 were generecally made for your med hands .
You don‘t have med. hands...
you are used to another type of grip / stocks.
Every one’s taste & preference may differ . I think the E-2 are the most slim and they make my P227 tolerable.

The E2 grips on the SIG P227 are similar to those on the P220, but they may feel different due to the P227 being a double-stack design, which can affect the overall grip size and ergonomics. I shot a P227 and noted that the grip on the P227 is wider at the top compared to the P220. I wear an XL glove and they just didn't feel right to me. I believe what I installed is exacly what SIG put on their SIG P220 Stainless pistols. For me it works, and I love the P220 series of pistols
