Guess Baretta is wanting to leverage the recent acquisition of Anderson Arms by Ruger, their supply/distribution network and vendors.

 

Beretta owns a piece of nearly everything now, don't they? They have Uberti, Taurus/Rossi, all the brands under the Eagle umbrella, Benelli, Franchi, Sako, Stoeger, Tikka, Chapuis, Holland & Holland, Browning, all the RUAG companies, RWS, Norma, Geco, and Lord knows what else.

 

I do see positive things when Beretta gets involved. Ruger is different. I think Beretta is interested in their casting methods and their marketing. Beretta has lost a lot once their pistols were no longer the pistol of the USA. Their name is legendary and they want to keep it that way

 

I was issued an qualified with the 92/M9 9mmp.
The only actually Beretta pistols I used to own were the 21A .22lr ones. 3 IIRC over the years. And one of the early.32acp Tomcats.

But, if it counts I do have a Benilli M2 12ga as a general purpose shotgun.

I'd love to get my hands on an old original M9 if it were possible some say.

 

The only baretta I own is U22. But I like it. Lol

 

I own a couple of older Benelli shotguns and had an old Beretta 301 which are all great, but I think that their quality has slipped a little over the last 10 - 15 years. I'm less likely to purchase anything from them until some improvements have been made.

My dad spent nearly $4K on a new Beretta O/U a few years ago, it should have lasted longer than <5000 rounds of target loads before the stock fails. Of course, they wouldn't cover it on warranty, and a new stock was another $1200

 

It's the stock. It's not like it is a mechanical failure or poor workmanship. Talking about the company and putting them down because a wooden stock failed after abusing the gun is pretty pathetic. It could have been anything from an internal weak spot to (more than likely) misuse and abuse.

 

A little under 5,000rds of target shells is hardly "abuse". Now if it were full charge hunting or defense loads that'd be abuse of the shotgun and possibly the shooter.
But target loads? 🙄
