Problems with Remington 597 .22 30 rnd magazine

I am having problems (FTF) with the first 10 to 12 rounds, after that the clear plastic magazine, made by Remington, works good. The 597 .22 LR rifle is near new and works good with my two 10 round mags. Anyone else having this problem or should I return the mag to the store where I purchased it?

Mine works fine with the 25rd clear mag...maybe get another mag and allways clean the gun and the magazine...oil it good and move the mag follower up an down so the oil gets in good. Also clean...it may help...

Thank you UrbanCombat 45. The rifle is clean and has shot less than 100 rounds. The magazine is new also. Are you saying that the magazine should be oiled? Would graphite be better than oil?

The two plastic 30 rounds mags I have always jam quite often on me, I have far less jams with the metal 10 round one. But you might as well keep the 30, at least it looks cool
