Hello I am making some full power. 357mag
And I got a pound of H110
I normally use titegroup but this powder was avalible and I may have other cartriges I can load with it.
I have a lee powder throw that has worked for me for many years with zero issues.
Does H110 bind up? Somehow?
It got harder and harder to move the arm as I went...
Is this common?
I have never had this happen...
Does anyone else have any experience with h110? Like this?
It was binding in my powderthrow.
The charges where consistent
But the amount of effort increased substantially over the course of loading 50 rounds.
It's kinda weird.
I am going to take it apart and clean it
And suggestions?

Dennis, If you are talking about the Lee Powder measure that uses the disks the answer is yes, I have had some issues with mine back when I first started reloading and I bought the Lee micrometer adjustable charge bar. that seemed to work but once in a while the retraction spring would hang up and not reliably slide the charging unit back into place. And if I ever forgot to replace the cap on powder hopper, that sudden snap back would kick out powder all over my reloading table. Sucked when that happened.
I bought the Lee Perfect Powder Measure stand alone unit and have not looked back. I bought four and mounted them on 3/4 inch MDF blocks to cover my major calibers - 9mm, 40 S&W, .223 Rem, and .308 Win. My son got me the Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Charge Powder Dispenser and that is a wonderful addition to my reloading bench.

My first reloads were for the .357 Mag using H110, I researched data on the load to get velocities that closely matched the original FPS and when I headed out to the range, my wonderful shooting Taurus 689 with a 6 inch barrel turned into a bear to shoot. I reloaded 300 rounds and have 275 left from that original batch. I now reload to more common FPS (1380/1400 range) using SR7625. They don't make it any longer and when I run out, I'll have to switch to something else. I liked the SR7625 because it works in my 9mm, .357, and 40 S&W...and having a common powder makes life easier.

If you have any questions, let me know. Below is what I started with when I began reloading. For some reason, a person gets a lot more stuff over time.

I have the Lee Auto Drum, and it leaks out (I put a paper plate between it and the expander die to catch it). It’s a very fine powder, so it works its way into tight spaces. It’s an awesome powder, though. It gives off that perfect gun smoke smell, too.

I have two of the Hornady Lock-N-Load powder measures and have had zero issues with H110 powder. I use H110 for all of my 300 Blackout loads. When I use the IMR 3031 for my 5.56 or 308's it gets a little harder at times, but I just chalk that up to it being an extruded powder and it needs to cut through the length of the extrusion.

I also use a lot of H-110. occasionally my manual powder dispenser's handle will get hard to turn but it happens with all powder types. I think its caused by a broken grain or something getting jammed in the drum. it doesn't seem to affect the charge weight.

Wicked- my hunting and all around 300 B.O. load is 18.3 gr of H-110 and a 125 gr. SST bullet. it chronos 2170 fps. out of my 16" bbl and about 120 fps slower out of my 9" bbl. its deadly on deer & hogs!
